Box Office: 'Kuberaa' Sees Dip on Crucial Monday

After a terrific first weekend, Sekhar Kammula’s Kuberaa, starring Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Rashmika Mandanna, witnessed a sharp drop in collections on Monday.

The film amassed an impressive ₹48.5 crore nett in India over its opening weekend and grossed nearly ₹15 crore in North America. In total, it collected close to ₹80 crore worldwide across all languages in just three days.

Buoyed by this strong start, the team celebrated the weekend success. However, as anticipated, Kuberaa saw a steep decline on its first weekday.

Unlike Kammula’s earlier romantic or youthful entertainers, Kuberaa is a gritty, intense drama, making it harder to sustain weekday footfalls.

To regain momentum heading into the second weekend, the team will need to intensify promotions and ensure the film remains visible in theaters.

The lukewarm response from Dhanush’s core Tamil fanbase significantly impacted the film's performance in Tamil Nadu.

The underwhelming numbers of the Tamil version are a key reason why the overall weekday collections appear subdued.
