Bollywood's 'Jersey' Ends Up As Major Disaster

Bollywood's 'Jersey' Ends Up As Major Disaster

No one understands what is happening. The traditional films from Bollywood are miserably failing at the box office.

'Jersey', a proven hit in Telugu with Nani in lead, was remade into Hindi with Shahid Kapoor.

Many assumed that it would repeat the success of Arjun Reddy remake Kabir Singh. But things turned upside down. It's a miserable flop at the end.

As per the estimates, the movie has collected in the range of Rs. 1.70 to 1.80 crores on Monday to take the four day total collection to Rs. 16.45 crore. On day 4 it dropped by 50% and concluded as a major flop.

The movie will now fold up around Rs. 20 crore and is a major flop at the box office. The collections of Jersey are rather shocking as the lifetime biz of the film should ideally have been the opening weekend.

The film will be discontinued from major properties by its second Friday to be replaced by Heropanti 2 and Runway 34. Basically, the best case scenario for Jersey from hereon is the Rs. 25 crore lifetime.

The reason for the doom of this film at the box office is that many have already watched the original on the TV and online platforms.
