Bollywood: Two Massive Disasters This Week

Bollywood is still in the deep quagmire of disasters. Two big ticket films were released this week and both toppled miserably.

The most frightening fact is that neither of the films could create buzz before the release.

Aamir Khan, the award winning commercial hero, came up with the remake of the Oscar winning 'Forrest Gump" as "Laal Singh Chaddha". But the Bollywood audience called it Forrest DUMP after the morning show.

The Punjabi accent given to Aamir Khan didn't work and sounded forced for the native audience. On a whole, the 28 year old Hollywood classic hit ended up as a Bollywood disaster today.

The other film is Akshaye Kumar starrer 'Raksha Bandhan'. The film is based on the brother-sisters relationship as per the trailer and there are no takes for this at the theatres.

Countless such stories have been on home screen in the form of TV series. The audience weren't prepared to bear the sentimental tears at the theatres in spite of Rakhi week.

While 'Laal Singh Chaddha' ended up as an expectation failure, 'Raksha Bandhan' proved to be the contest failure.
