While a senior lyricist is being trolled by fans for outdated and tasteless lyrics in a big budget, big star film, a song from a small film is drawing attention for its new age lyrics.
Lyric writing has been evolving for decades, always demanding something new, catchy and interesting. Varun Reddy and Rohith M wrote the lyrics.
One such out of the box and attention grabbing set of lyrics has now come from Psych Siddhartha, in the song “Blue Yellow,” which is definitely hit worthy for Gen Z listeners.
The song explores the science of colors and cleverly intertwines those colors with the emotions of a heartbroken lover.
An interesting aspect is that it is rendered by Jassie Gift, a long time favorite known for his unique voice. Smaran Sai composed the music, which is melodious yet modern, soothing and pleasing to the ears.
The film features Shree Nandu and Yamini Bhaskar in the lead roles and is directed by Varun Reddy.
After a long gap, Shree Nandu is returning with this attention grabbing song, and it remains to be seen whether his career will revive if the film content is equally compelling.
Psych Siddhartha is set to hit theatres on December 12.
