BJP still confused on three capitals issue!

BJP still confused on three capitals issue!

It looks like BJP is still confused and is confusing the party cadre and also the farmers of Amaravati with regard to its stand on the formation of three capitals for Andhra Pradesh by the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government.

BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav found fault with the Jagan Mohan Reddy government for deciding to create three capitals for AP in the name of decentralised development.

“Such multi-capital system cannot be found anywhere in the country or in the world,” he pointed out.

Ram Madhav wondered when Uttar Pradesh which is four-times bigger than Andhra Pradesh can have just one capital at Lucknow, why does Andhra need three capital cities for decentralised development.

“Has the UP government not been running such a big state from a single capital city of Lucknow?” he asked.

At the same time, the BJP national leader said the Centre had gone according to the Constitution with regard to the three capitals within its limits.

“It is going in the same way as it had gone during the Chandrababu Naidu regime on the location of the capital city for AP. But that does not mean we should not question the three capitals issue,” he said.

Ram Madhav said the BJP had questioned the corruption involved in Amaravati capital lands issue.

“Now, we should raise our voice over the corruption in the decision on three capitals issue. We have to strive for securing justice to the farmers of Amaravati,” he said.

Since the issue is presently in the court of law, the BJP leader said, the party would wait and see before announcing its future course of action.
