On the occasion of her birthday, “Kanmani Rambo Katija” aka “KRK” featuring Samantha, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi was released.
The film received almost zero openings in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The film proved that Samantha’s name or face alone doesn't guarantee openings. Nearly 80 percent of multiplex screens in Hyderabad saw not a single ticket getting sold.
In Andhra Pradesh, many single screens canceled the show with none turning up.
Directed by Vignesh Shivan, Nayanthara’s husband-to-be, the film equally received negative reviews in Tamilnadu.
For Samantha, this is the worst birthday treat. There was no publicity for the film either.
