Vijay Kanakamedala, whose film 'Bhairavam' is set to release on the 30th of this month, is now facing the wrath of mega fans.
Old screenshots from his social media account, dated back to 2011, have surfaced online.
These posts allegedly show him insulting mega heroes Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan, sparking outrage and the trend #BoycottBhairavam.
In response, Vijay released a statement claiming his account had been hacked years ago and that the posts were planted to malign him.
However, this explanation has raised eyebrows.
If the account was hacked, why weren’t the posts removed earlier? The circulating screenshots appear freshly taken, casting doubt on the hacking claim.
Critics argue that a more credible response would have been to state the posts were fabricated, rather than offering a questionable excuse.

Adding to that, he later apologized with a long letter. But if he’s apologizing, doesn’t that contradict his earlier claim that the account was hacked? What is this confused and frightened person really up to?
The issue is not stopping here. It is burning wild.
Amidst this, a netizen questioned, "Moreover, he is now apologizing to mega fans — but what about the YCP? He indirectly criticized the former YCP government during the pre-release event of Bhairavam. So, shouldn’t he apologize for that too? Is he only afraid of mega fans and not the YCP group?".
