'Baahubali Epic' Aims to Strengthen Rajamouli’s Global Brand

Rajamouli’s name and the Baahubali brand are powerful enough to draw audiences on their own.

Even Baahubali Epic - a re-edited version that combines both Baahubali films into a single feature; has influenced release plans of other movies, including Ravi Teja’s upcoming film.

However, sources close to Rajamouli clarify that the goal behind Baahubali Epic isn’t box office revenue in India.

The primary objective is to strengthen Rajamouli’s brand in the North American market by creating greater awareness among mainstream American audiences, beyond the Indian diaspora.

While RRR gave Rajamouli international recognition, his earlier works remain largely unknown outside South Asian circles.

Before the release of his next ambitious film GlobeTrotter; starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran; the team wants to generate global curiosity and demand for his storytelling.

To make Baahubali Epic more accessible to Western audiences, certain songs have been trimmed or removed. If the response is strong, Rajamouli plans to embark on a promotional tour across the U.S.
