Allu Aravind to Get Rs 4 Cr from Kantara

Allu Aravind to Get Rs 4 Cr from Kantara

"Kantara" emerged as the second biggest dubbed movie this year in Telugu states after the blockbuster "KGF 2". The Telugu version grossed about Rs 50 crore worldwide (including the USA gross).

In AP and Telangana alone, “Kantara” grossed about Rs 34 crore so far. It is expected to touch Rs 40 crore by the end of its total run.

Such a huge hit! But producers Allu Aravind and Bunny Vaas must be scolding themselves for not buying the film’s rights entirely.

Their distribution firm Geetha Arts released the film in Telugu states on a commission basis. As a commission, the company will get 10% of the total gross.

So, they will get Rs 4 crore for releasing the movie. The rest of the profits will go to the original production house Hombale Films.

Had Allu Aravind and Bunny Vaas bought the movie entirely, they would have gained Rs 15 to 20 Cr. They didn’t spend much money on publicity either.
