The much-hyped Akhanda 2, which was expected to release tomorrow, has been postponed indefinitely, and the confirmation is now official.
Despite several attempts to resolve the financial and legal issues overnight, the efforts did not work in favor of the makers. As of now, the film stands postponed with no alternative release date announced.
The makers released a note stating, "With a heavy heart, we regret to inform you that #Akhanda 2 will not be releasing as scheduled due to unavoidable circumstances.
This is a painful moment for us, and we truly understand the disappointment it brings to every fan and movie lover awaiting the film.
We are working tirelessly to resolve the matter at the earliest. Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Bookings has already been halted across all major online platforms. Even the USA premieres, which were scheduled to begin shortly, have been cancelled.
With both domestic and international releases halted, the team is clearly waiting for the issues to be fully resolved before making their next move.
