The shooting of Pawan Kalyan’s much-anticipated film OG has recently resumed, and the makers have officially announced its release date: September 25, 2025.
Interestingly, they didn’t seem concerned about other films that had already been scheduled for the same day.
As previously reported, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, directed by Boyapati Srinu, and Sai Dharam Tej’s Sambarala Yeti Gattu (SYG) were both eyeing a Dasara holiday release on the same date. In fact, the makers of those films had locked in September 25 well in advance.
However, with OG now claiming that date, reports suggest that Balakrishna’s film may be postponed to Sankranthi 2026, while Sai Dharam Tej’s movie is likely to search for an alternative release window if OG proceeds as planned.
There is also speculation that Prabhas’s The Raja Saab might release in September. But with OG officially securing the date, other films may be rescheduled to avoid a major box office clash.
