Adipurush had a remarkable opening day in India and abroad. The Hindi versions of the film grossed a staggering 36-38 crore nett, driven by mass markets. Surprisingly, even the single screens contributed significantly.
Outperforming Brahmastra in all regions, it particularly excelled in Nizam/Andhra with an estimated 40 crore nett or higher.
Considering the Telugu version's impact in Hindi circuits and the rest of South India, Adipurush is projected to earn around 90 crore nett domestically and a gross of 110-112 crore on the first day.
Overseas success leaned towards Telugu, but Hindi fared better than expected. Final international figures are pending, but the film is anticipated to achieve a worldwide day one collection of 140 crore, potentially reaching 150 crore gross.
Despite a lackluster post-pandemic box office, films offering a grand theatrical spectacle like Pathaan, KGF 2, Brahmastra, and now Adipurush continue to garner significant numbers.
