Aamir Khan’s team has issued a clarification, dismissing reports that the actor made negative remarks about his cameo in Coolie, the recent blockbuster starring superstar Rajinikanth.
Speculation began after a screenshot circulated on X (formerly Twitter), claiming Aamir had called his cameo “a big mistake” and criticized the writing of his character.
The alleged quotes suggested he felt his role lacked purpose and that the scene failed to connect with audiences.
Responding to the controversy, Aamir Khan’s spokesperson categorically denied the claims: “Mr Aamir Khan has given no such interview and has made no negative comments about Coolie. Mr Khan has the highest regard for Mr Rajinikanth, Mr Lokesh, and the entire team of Coolie. The film has done over ₹500 crore at the box office, which speaks for itself.”
The clarification comes amid growing fan chatter and unverified media reports.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie features Rajinikanth in a power-packed lead role, with Aamir making a cameo appearance.
