What and Who is Pawan Kalyan Targeting?

What and Who is Pawan Kalyan Targeting?

It was already widely known within the film industry that the proposed theater shutdown scheduled for June 1st would not take place.

Today, the Film Chamber of Commerce made it official, announcing that the shutdown has been postponed indefinitely with no new timeline set.

The Chamber also clarified that the proposal was not aimed at any specific film, including Hari Hara Veera Mallu.

At the time the strike was being planned, it was widely assumed that Pawan Kalyan’s film would release on May 9th, which led to speculation that the June 1st strike was indirectly targeting his release.

However, despite the Chamber’s clarification, the office of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan issued a detailed press note.

The statement announced that a thorough investigation would be conducted to identify those behind the strike plan, examine how many theaters are operating under proper lease agreements, and determine whether they are complying with government regulations.

The press note also raised a critical question: why hasn’t the film industry met with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, even months after the new government assumed office?

Pawan Kalyan’s office indicated that he was deeply hurt by what he described as a “return gift” — a perceived attempt by the industry to target him.

This reaction has raised eyebrows, particularly because prominent industry figures like Dil Raju, Suresh Babu, and Asian Suniel — part of the so-called “Aa Naluguru” — are known to be close to Pawan Kalyan.

It seems unlikely that they would attempt to sabotage the release of his film. So why is he going after them?

Insiders suggest that there may be a larger strategy at play.

There is speculation that Pawan Kalyan suspects some of these industry leaders still maintain financial ties with influential figures from the previous Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy administration. If true, his actions could be aimed at severing those connections once and for all.

In short, this may be more than just an industry dispute — it could signal a calculated political and financial reset.
