Recently, the amount of money he lost in Shakuntalam was a mammoth Rs 22 Cr, which shocked many. This loss was actually his part of the venture. This means that whatever he earned through recent hits like Dasara and Balagam was lost with Shakuntalam.
Even as a producer, he lost a big sum in Thank You last year, subtracting the profit he earned through F3.
At every point, whenever Dil Raju sees some profits in a film or two, either through production or distribution, he is losing the entire thing in his subsequent ventures. Either as a solo producer or in collaboration with others, his luck factor has become highly unpredictable.
Despite these setbacks, Dil Raju continues to venture on, and he remains a top producer and distributor in Tollywood.
