YSR Congress Party, Detroit wing and Prominent Telugu people of Detroit observed Diwangatha Mahanetha Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s Second Vardhanthi on September 10th, 2011.
The crowded hall at St. Toma conference Center reiterated that they would support Dr. YSR vision and encourage any leader who wanted to support his ideas to uplift the poor. Over 350 plus people paid homage to Maha Netha Dr. YSR by chanting YSR Amar Rehe Hai.
Honorable MP Sri Sabbam Hari garu and Honoarable MLC Sri Jupudi Prabhakar Rao garu attended the program as Chief Guest and Special Guest, respectively.
The guests paid homage by lighting Jyothi and offering floral tributes to Dr. YSR followed by a moment of silence. Hariprasad Reddy Lingala welcomed the guests and moderated the meeting.
Local YSR congress party members expressed their grievance and pledged their support to Yuva Netha JAGAN, the president of YSR congress party. A number of local YSR Congress party leaders briefly mentioned about the numerous programs Dr YSR executed to uplift the Telugu people and his impeccable performance as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh that put him the top most leader of all times.
They strongly believe that the only one person who can continue Dr YSR vision is Sri YS Jaganmohan Reddy. Some of the speakers include, Dr. Ramchandra Reddy, Lingala Hariprasad Reddy, Yarlagadda Sivaram, Kukunoor Vinod, Yadam Balaji, Bhumireddy Yugandhar, Srinivas Chittaluri, Pidaparthi Srinivas, Ravi Kiran, Manduti Sunil, Srinivas Barla, Nagender Gali, Vinod Atmakur, Marupudi Vijay, Beeram Venkat, Kukati Purushottam and Gunasekar Chigarapalli.
The program went up to 11:00 PM without starting dinner and there was a pin-drop silence in the audience during the spell bounding speeches by Special guests.
Special invitee Jupudi Prabhakar Rao garu mesmerized the crowd with his emotional, electrifying and heart touching speech. When Mr. Jupudi was talking about YSR passion on helping the needy the audience eyes filled with tears. He recalled the popular welfare schemes introduced by YSR and emphasized the need to support JAGAN for the welfare of the state.
On the other hand, the Chief Guest Mr. Sabbam Hari garu with his soft, gentle, authentic, authoritative and indisputable oratorship totally influenced the audience and put them into a learning mode on the political history of Congress since Indira Gandhi Era. He pointed out how the Congress continuously plays Dwandavidhanams for time and again. He says when India Gandhi faced a problem with Congress she would not mind to reject the Congress where his dad was part of it for more than and 17 years and started her own Congress (I). He asks when Jagan and his mother were brutally insult by Sonia Gandhi, why it was wrong to start his own party. He also pointed out that how the Sonia’s central government restrains the approval of more than 150 MLAs elected by the people of Andhra Pradesh to elect Jagan as their leader after sudden demise of YS Rajasekhar Reddy. More than that people are commenting that Jagan is playing politics before burial of his dad. If that is true, why people forgot that while Indira Gandhi’s dead body was still at the spot where she was shot, why people was not commented when Mr. Rajiv Gandhi was took oath as Prime minister. He utters, except YS Jagan he could not a see one single leader in any political party who can fulfill YSR’s Prajakarshaka projects. In his entire 45 miniutes speech, he educated how the politics should be, not like what is going on at present.
