Y S Jagan – Should he be more patient?

Y S Jagan – Should he be more patient?

Congress High Command (eg. Sonia Gandhi) and some of the so called state senior Congress leaders (in age rather than popular support) think that YS Jagan should wait for a few years and work hard just like his father YSR did for thirty years to become the Chief Minister of AP. Contrary to what some people think, Jagan has been very calculated in dealing with the clueless high command and poisonous Rosayya. He has shown lot of maturity and tactfulness. His speeches never have a trace of reference to High Command or the useless leaders of Congress party. He mentions only his father and people.

Believe it or not, this makes him a stronger leader among the people. Being the darling of the masses is more important to a politician than instant gratification of a position of temporary power. YS Jagan is the most popular leader in AP right now, bar none.

If Rajiv Gandhi could become Prime Minister in 1984, Sonia Gandhi could become the President of AICC and could try to be Prime Minister without any experience or putting in their time, why not Jagan? These boot licking chemchas like VH, KK, Kaka, Harsha, RC, Yashki, RDR, JC, Jana, Sankar Rao, etc never can be popular leaders and they do not like anyone else to command popular support.

YS Jagan has the popular support, followers, money, and his own media and most of all the mass sympathy that he was done a great injustice by Sonia Gandhi and the High Command. Why do these people want Jagan to submit to the graces of Sonia Gandhi, so she can crush him and make him irrelevant? They do not want to see Jagan to become powerful. They want his votes though. They want the status quo. They want their ministries and power that they have now and want to keep it in future by getting elected next time with the help of Jagan and YSR image. In the mean time, they do not care what happens to Jagan though. But there is a lot of support for Jagan among the MLAs. At least 75-100 of them should support him in the event of him splitting the party, as they love YSR and YS Jagan and know that they have brighter future with Jagan than staying with the high command or with Rosis, VHs and KKs that cannot win their own elections.

Why should Jagan wait for to become the Chief Minister? I do not see any reason for that. No one makes you anything in life and politics. You make yourself. You advance yourself. You seek and get it. YS Jagan should not wait for the High Command to make him the Chief Minister but he should make himself.  YS Jagan is more important and relevant in AP politics than the High Command and his ditractors combined in the state, including the poisonous snake that’s heading the state government now. As it is, Congress has really bleak prospects for coming back to power in 2014, both in AP as well as in the Centre and if they lose Jagan, they will win less than 10% popular vote and lose miserably.

Dhirubhai Ambani sold clothes on cycle back when he started doing business. He worked hard to give a good fortune to his sons. And his sons made it even bigger in life and became richest people among the world. Dheerubhai climbed 10 steps and his children started at 11th step and climbed to even higher levels. Same goes with everyone. Lot of us needed to work hard to become what we are today. Our children will get to go better colleges than what we did and start with better things to do than us. Same goes for YS Jagan. YSR built support of masses for Jagan to inherit and go from a higher place than YSR started. Asking Jagan to start from square one is like asking Ambani brothers to start selling clothes on cycle like his father did and asking our children to start from same dirt schools that we attended as children. Jagan will start where his father left - the Chief Minister of AP.
