This brutal and senseless statement was made by a conservative Saudi Arabian author Abdullah Mohamed al-Dawood.
Minutes after tweeting about this, the international media contacted Abdullah and questioned him on his remarks. Abdullah has got close to 1 lakh followers on Twitter and he got trolled badly after the incident occured.
He said female cashiers who work in grocery stores should be molested. This remarks earned him a strong criticism from the Muslim leaders too.
A prominent Muslim leader has said that there is nothing like this written in Islam and people like Abdullah must be punished for making such derogatory remarks against women.
After a public furore, Abdullah has said in a TV Interview that his statement was misunderstood and explained that he said women working as cashiers will be harassed.
Governments should take a strong action against people like Abdullah Mohamed al-Dawood, who doesn't respect women and make derogatory comments on them.
