Women Smokers And Boozers Increasing In India

The ideology clash between a man and woman is everlasting. And speaking about equality between both sexes, it leads to nothing but war.

Anyways, the way things have been progressing, it is looking that the women are doing their best to compete with men and while feminism has been spiking up alarmingly, the concept of equal rights and in all fields has become more like an obsession.

The consequences of that are being seen clearly in the way the society is shaping up and the mindset of people towards relations.

Now, one area which is of growing concern is smoking and drinking. Well, it has always been a man’s forte since centuries. But now, with the fairer sex vying for equality, they seem to be keen on making their presence felt in this as well.

Yes, a country like India where woman is considered an embodiment of tradition and culture has taken to the butts and bottles. There has been a significant rise in the number of women who have taken to smoking and drinking over the last decade or two.

The biggest jolt is even ladies who are having families are not hesitating to indulge into these activities. Cities like Mumbai and Delhi are often riddled with families coming for outings and the wife is seen smoking and drinking. What can this be called? Growing up? Modern times? Woman is equal to man? While the real reason behind this beats me, one thing is sure. This has definitely increased the prices of tobacco and alcohol making things even more difficult for the men.

Like it or not, the fact remains that when a woman of the home is disciplined, the entire family is disciplined. If she breaks the rules, the same is seen within her family members. While the causes for women taking to smoking and drinking could be anything, but the impact and consequences of those habits are severely fatal. This is not to say that it is a man’s right to go on with these but then when a woman does it, then it shakes up the very foundation of everything. Think about it folks…
