Why Men Shaving Heads In Lockdown?

Why Men Shaving Heads In Lockdown?

We may wonder what is there to discuss about the psychology behind shaving one's own head.

Well, the lockdown time has been making many men shave off their heads. The primary reason, as many understand, is the shuttered down hair cutting saloons due to the lockdown.

But some psychologists say there are other reasons behind this.

A software engineer who tonsured his head said that he shaved off on the first day of lockdown itself.

As per a psychologist, "The software engineer has a long standing desire to shave of his head. But due to public life and wishing to be presentable in office premises he postponed it forever. Now, the total isolation has given him the freedom to fulfil his subconscious desire, which even he doesn't know consciously".

Some say that they have shaved heads as this is summer. But psychologists say that they can be believed only if they have shaved off in previous summers as well.

A psychologist also says, "This has given ample time for everyone to experiment anything without inhibitions. Some will grow long beards unlike their regular style, some may enjoy growing up their shabby hair as long as it can and some may enjoy the undyed hair looking into mirror in privacy. It is a sense of personal achievement that soothes the subconscious".
