Balaji temple in Malibu, Los Angeles adorned with festive look on June 03, 2012.TTD joint executive officer accompanied by several Veda pundits and priests have come here all the way from India to perform Srinivasa kalyanam as per the TTD standards.
More than thousand devotees have availed the golden opportunity of participating in the celestial wedding to their hearts content. Fresh and colorful flowers were showered on the temple from the helicopter. The sacred event began with suprabhatam followed by Tomala seva and Archana.
Every year millions of people flock to Balaji temple in Tirupati to witness srinivasa kalyanam by enduring all the hurdles that they come across but, the people of Los Angeles are blissful to be a part of this unique celebration just by driving a few miles.TTD has been performing Sri Srinivasa kalyanams at various places around the world to propagate and preserve Bhakti and Sanatana Dharma in the Kaliyuga. It is believed that wherever celestial kalyanams are performed, those regions would be bestowed with peace and prosperity.
Chanting of the Lord's name "Govinda" "Govinda" by all the participants was spell bounding. An elephant with Govinda Nama decoration stood as a special attraction at the event. TTD has sent kalyana vigrahams to grace the occasion. In spite of unimaginable gathering of devotees, there was absolutely no shortage of accommodation but, shortage of Mahaprasadam was inevitable.
All the arrangements made by the temple authorities in association with the local TASC, Kannada and Tamil and NATA members were applauded. The success of this event can be partly attributed to the sponsors who came forward generously to make this event happen for the welfare of the entire Mankind.
Prominent among those who participated in the kalayanam were Prime Healthcare CEO and Chairman Telugu Billionaire Dr.Prem Reddy Garu with his wife Dr.Shanthi Reddy Garu (USD10,000 Diamond Donor).The temple President Nadadur vardhan with his wife Dr.Indubala peroformed all the sevas till night. NATA Advisory council Sri Dharma Reddy Gummadi Garu with wife Pushpa Reddy Garu and Telugu Association President elect TASC 2012 Nageshwar Rao with his wife priya were (silver Sponserers) . NATA RC's Veera Reddy Nandyala, Anitha Reddy, Diva Reddy Bommareddy, Venu Reddy Katukuri, Jaipal Reddy have also participated.
NATA West RVP Anil Arraballi with a group of volunteers was actively involved in the arrangements till the completion of the event.
US Police made elaborate security arrangements in view of the large public turnout.
