Telangana American Telugu Association (TTA) first ever solo mega convention held on May 27th - 29th, 2022 in New Jersey Expo & Convention Center in New Jersey, USA was a grand success with mega audience.
Under the prestigious leadership of Dr. Malla Reddy Pailla, Dr. Vijaypal Reddy, Dr. Haranath Policherla, TTA President Dr. Mohan Reddy Patalolla, Convener Srinivas Ganagoni, President Elect Vamshi Reddy, Coordinator Gangadhar Vuppala, Convention Executive Committee, Board of Directors, RVPs, Standing Committees, Regional co-coordinators, Volunteers from every corner of the United States spent their personal time more than six months to deliver the BEST ever MEGA Convention in the history.
TTA is successful in portraying Telangana Culture throughout the Convention with Decorations and Cultural Events on Telangana.
Telangana American Telugu Association (TTA) under the leadership of President Dr. Mohan Reddy Patalolla under the guidance of Advisory Council raised record money $1.62M to the TTA mega convention. The CEC (Convention Executive Committee) and fundraising committee of TTA worked very hard to reach the target.
The donors from all the chapters of TTA were extremely generous and attendees were ecstatic and enjoyed the wonderful Friday banquet night. More than 2000 donors were attended the Banquet dinner and supported the TTA mega convention. New Jersey convention center packed with the finest crowd. TTA banquet committee well organized the event with unlimited open bar and hundreds of varieties of food in the menu and it was feast.
The awards presented to the people who selected by Awards committee under different categories for their contributions. The cultural feast to the audience was mesmerized and many fashion shows were colored the mega event. At the end of banquet night legend music director Koti musical night was big attraction and audiences were dancing all over for his popular Telugu songs.
On Saturday morning, TTA mega convention was officially inaugurated by procession with the special attraction and Telangana pride culture Bathukamma, Bonalu and Potharajulu. TTA Cultural team showed and delivered their passion in the procession. Later convention was inaugurated by lighting of the lamp with New Jersey local senators Sam Thomson, East Brunswick Mayor Brad Cohen, Telangana ministers and politicians along with TTA advisory council, President, CEC and TTA leadership.
Entrance of the convention center was well decorated by the decoration committee with Telangana Thalli statue, replica of Charminar, Kakatita Kala Thoranam, 6 Feet Bathukamma, Samakka and Sarakka were the highlights.
Throughout the day, TTA organized wonderful cultural events, tasty lunch and more than 100 vendor shops like Jewelry, cloths, real estate, food, and fun stalls to the public. Hospitality, Food, Transportation and Vender committee took care of every need in the mega convention as unsung heroes behind the screen.
Later afternoon, political forum meets, alumni meet, literary meets, TTA star and many other events were fully packed in either ball rooms or in mini conference rooms. Telangana political leaders, Vice chancellors and poets graced the events and shared their thoughts.
Saturday Evening, more than 1500 program participants and their parents were at the backstage to perform and show case variety of programs. Main Convention Hall was fully packed with 8000 people before 6:30pm. TTA security team was put their highest effort to control the crowd. Food committee was served sumptuous dinner until late night to the audience.
The mega cultural feast designed by the cultural team mesmerized the audience. Melodious Singer Sunita’s musical night and songs from Vendamataram Srinivas was the highlight of the Saturday evening. She entertained the full crowd of audience with her live mesmerizing orchestra team.
The last grand finale day, Sunday morning, Lakshmi Narasimha Swami kalyanam by Yadadri team, Telangana turned New Jersey as Spiritual town. Temple EO Geetha Reddy, AEO, priests brought Utsavamoorthies of Swamy and performed kalyanam on this auspicious day.
The TTA spiritual committee made all arrangements to the public. Until afternoon, the main convention hall crowd chanted “Narsimha Manthram” and public took the blessings and prasadam. Delicious lunch was served after the kalyanam to the public attended more than two thousand.
Grand finale evening, TTA recognized the TTA convention committee volunteers, sister organization community leaders and announced TTA awards to the achievers in their filed. TTA prestigious lifetime achievement award was honored to Dr. M. Srinivasa Reddy (Cheese Reddy).
Special cultural events like Telangana Vaibhavam and fashion shows, shivoham etc., The Grand Finale day was packed by 8000 audience and DSP show attracted the crowd until 1 am. For the Rock Star DSP musical the entire crowd was dancing, and everyone thanked TTA for such a wonderful and mesmerizing show.
TTA president Dr. Mohan Patalolla thanked entire local teams who worked hard last 6 months, AC to RC for giving him this wonderful opportunity and support to deliver the best solo mega convention.
Dr.Patalolla specially thanked Dr.Malla Reddy Pailla (founder), Dr. Vijaypal Reddy (AC chair), Dr.Haranath Policherla (AC co-chair) Srinivas Ganagoni (Convenor) Vamsi Reddy (Convention co-chair), Gangadhar Vuppala (Co-ordinator), CEC and all the convention committees worked very hard to make the TTA- mega convention-2022 huge success and lot of appreciation from the community.
