Tirupati: The AP Legislative Council petitions committee rapped the Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanams (TTD) over the diminishing quality of the famous laddu prasadam of the Lord. C o m m i t t e e chairman N Manohar said here on Tuesday that the laddu is the most sought-after prasadam for millions of devotees thronging the temple from various parts of the country.
“We have come across instances of the poor quality of laddu being prepared by the temple administration,” he said. Doubts have been raised over the quality of ghee and other ingredients which go into the preparation of laddu. Expressing concern, the panel chairman urged the temple administration to take special care to restore the glory of the laddu prasadam as it is associated with the sentiments of lakhs of devotees.
