The Relation between Astronomy and Astrology

The movement of the heavenly bodies and their effect on man were entirely natural and focused to scientific reading and prophecy. Astronomy and astrology cannot be divided, few may argue about how the influence of the planets was conveyed, about whether astrologers were performing their profession adeptly, or only telling their people what they wanted to pay attention to, and even whether it was legally recognized to use information about the movement of the stars and planets to predict the future. But all of these arguments took as their source a shared belief in the manipulation of the planets on earth in wide-ranging, and on man in scrupulous.

The sun evidently affects plant life on earth - plant life is rehabilitated when the sun begins to rise higher in the sky, and the warmness of the sun is a noticeable factor in the generation of life. Similarly, the moon can be shown to have an effect on the tides. In nature, the other planets were also thought to affect the weather, even though conceivably more delicately than the larger bodies.

The influence of the planets was implicit to be fundamental and it was expressed in humans by the personalities on which humeral medicine was posited. If the physical qualities of the persons were cold and dry were said to be of a miserable nature, and they could expect to be theme to particular physical weaknesses and to substantiate particular psychosomatic personalities the mental reasons were a direct consequence of the physical makeup of the person. Saturn is the planet which is cold and dry, and it is, rationally enough, the planet which rule persons whose indispensable nature was sad. A person born under the influence of Saturn was strong naturally was thought to take on the quality of the planet in his humeral make-up, and to convey those hilarity both through his physical manifestation and his nature.

Adding up, the planets were thought to have an ongoing influence on the health of individuals. Far-sighted men made use of astronomically-based tables which suggested the correct days or zodiacal arrangement of the moon for hemorrhage or purgation. They also check with charts that told which planets and signs influenced different parts of the body. Various Planet Books manuscript is clear with such tables, together with astrologically-based weather information.

Which planets of an individual were influenced can be found out by two approaches.  The astronomical approach is the first one, one found the exact time of the person's birth, worked out by means of an ephemeris and mathematical exclamation the position of each of the planets and a couple of main assemblage, form out which house each planet be inherent in, where the zodiacal signs fell, and what facets, the planets had to one another. One then calculated which planets were strongly located, which are in weak, etc. The planet which turned out to be in the strongest position could be considered to the noble of the horoscope, and it was this planet which should have had the utmost influence over the person.

The second approach is related to the rectification of a horoscope. If the results of an individual turned apparently contradict known facts, then the astrologer rectified the horoscope twists the time or date of birth, till the things worked out better.

If an astrologer cast a birth horoscope and the results turned out to obviously contradict known facts then he rectified the horoscope, twisted the time or the date of birth, until things worked out better. Similarly, if one was confront by a person who was conspicuously confrontational, one practically conjectured that he was born under Mars.
