Telangana Nigh 2018 - A Grand success

Telangana Night 2018, held on May 12, 2018 was a great success with fun, food and festivities.

The cultural wing of TDF, Canada called as “Tangedu (తంగేడు)” organized the event with families and friends from Greater Toronto Area, and humbled to host more than 600 participants with some melodious singing, breath taking dancing and mouth-watering food.

The event was kicked off by traditional lamp lighting followed by prayer and showed respect and love through national anthems for India and Canada.

A minute of silence was also observed in memory of Telangana martyrs. The gala night was filled with dance, singing and other cultural programmes by kids starting from the age as young as 9 years and adults. Event also had traditional Telangana cuisine, which tingled the taste buds of the guests.

Enormous efforts have been put together by the cultural wing in making the event a grand success and organizing committee extended its vote of thanks to several sponsors, volunteers, cultural participants and each and every one who helped in organizing the event successfully and pledged to organize several such events in the future.

TDF, Canada is non-profit organization which works hard towards creating awareness towards education, cultural, literary, health and social causes.

We are a group of people from Telangana, the 29th and the youngest state of India striving to pass on the baton of heritage of our rich culture and values to our future generation in Canada, so they enjoy and do not miss on being raised in our beloved homeland.

Just like India, we want to create a multi-cultural environment where our progeny would experience the concept of unity in diversity, which is the ethos of the Indian constitution.
