Telangana Architects Cleared The Chaos Of IIA

Indian Institute of Architects – Telangana Chapter organized its first INAUGURAL MEETING ON FORMATION OF THE INDIAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS TELANGANA CHAPTER

It was a brainstorming / meeting to discuss the formation of IIA TELANGANA CHAPTER and role of Telangana Architects in building 'NAVA TELANGANA'.

Meeting was held at YATRI NIVAS, SECUNDERABAD started at 6.30 PM with a coincidence of the auspicious day of Rakhi Festival which is a festival of brotherhood and love.

Telangana Architects not caring the heavy downpour of rain in the city, over 100 Telangana Architects attended the event.

The event was graced with many esteemed reputed Telangana Architects along with Young Architects.

Remembering the achievement of their dream of Telangana State, which came to them after many years of struggle and sacrifices of martyrs.

On the same lines Telangana Architects came from various districts to attend wanted to remember speak on various issues of partiality that was shown in their profession of Architecture and Telangana Architects by so called previous governments.

Now that they have assembled top have their own Indian Institute of Architects – Telangana Chapter they felt to be at ease.

Telangana Architects from different parts of the World who came forward and had continuous discussions with the Resident Telangana Architects and on August 5th, 2014 Telangana resident Architect Sreekanth Tatikonda took this further and raised the voice with a collective momentum for the formation of IIA Telangana Chapter, gave the representation on August 5th, 2014 to seek the Government help and support met the Telangana State Cabinet Minister for Irrigation, Marketing & Legislative Affairs Sri. Harish Rao, This representation is for the betterment of Telangana Architects and Architectural Education.

Meeting started with speaker Ar. Sharada who played a key and who is a instrument in this mission on formation of IIA Telangana Chapter spoke on the vision “ “NAVA TELANAGANA NIRMANAM” and Architects role. Along with her many Architects like Ar. Vinod Kumar, Ar. Ram Mohan, Ar. Sudhakar, Ar. Padma, Ar. Mallikarjun, Ar. Sreedhar Chary list does not end spoke in the event condemning and raised their concerns on the so called the previous IIA Andhra Pradesh Chapter and Executive Committee Members of IIA, AP Chapter ignored Telangana Architects on the initiation process IIA Telangana Chapter with dubious, ridiculous, double standards and politicized drama behavior of taking control on IIA Telangana Chapter and proclaiming to continue as the same committee members for the IIA Telangana Chapter.

Resting this proclaiming tactics of so called Executive Members of IIA AP Chapter to peace and putting an end to this chaos.

Telangana Architects who attended the event on August 10th, 2014 made a decision unanimously with one voice to have Ar. Sreekanth Tatikonda and Ar. Sharada to head as the official representatives of Indian Institute of Architects - Telangana Chapter and carry it forward until the further notification of new governing body is formed as per the Byelaws and Norms of Indian Institute of Architects in formation of IIA Telangana Chapter.

In continuation of this event Ar. Sreekanth discussed many proposals initiated by the collective efforts of local Telangana senior Architects, contemporary Architects, and by NRI Telangana Architects, including Ar. Srinivasa Manapragada from California USA who spoke on Tele conference to the gathering, who congratulated the efforts of Telangana Architects on the formation of IIA Telangana Chapter and promised as he being an ardent supporter will continue his support in this initiative of unifying all Telangana Architects to have one vision, one mission and one goal of uplifting, proliferating, and enhancing the Architectural values of Telangana to make a mark in our society, our state, and our beloved country as a whole.

This event supported by many reputed Telangana Architects namely Ar. Shilpi, Ar. Mallikarjun Pawasker , Ar. Ravi, Ar. Sridhar, Ar. Sudhir, Ar. M. Chandrashekar, Ar. Ajay, Ar. Girish, Ar. Vijay, Ar. Murali and Telangana Students of Architecture from JNTU, CSIIT, SVCA, Arora, VIT the list goes on with many Telangana Architects attended . Vote of thanks was given by the Resident Architect Ar. Sridhar Chary thanking all the Telanaga Architects who atteneded and requested everyone to be part of the continued effort to carry this voice to larger group that’s initiated by Telanaga Architects, Ar. Sreekanth Tatikonda,  Ar. Sharada, Ar. Rakesh Vasu  in initiating and creating group on Facebook and on Whatsapp with the group name “IIA Telangana Chapter”  and were successful enough to get more than 100 Telangana Architects members in week’s time.

KEY POINTS DISCUSSED

  • As per the Bylaws of IIA any new chapter is formed, the previous formed chapter committee members shall abide the rules as per IIA bylaws to withdraw and offer their resignations to the IIA - National Committee without having their individual agendas and interest
  • With respect newly formed Telangana State and the interest on the percentages of reservation given to the Telangana origins, any newly formed professional body/ organization/ committees which may be governed by the Central Government or Private Professional Boards shall have all 100% of Telanganities should constitute in as governing committee members.
  • Under immediate effect and with respect to the IIA Byelaws Page 15 - #21 and Para(s) 21(a) and 21(d) on Formation of Chapters and Centers. The Indian Institute of Architects National Committee shall give a notification and call for nominations from Telangana Architects Members interested to execute the further process of formation of IIA Telangana Chapter
  • If the Indian Institute of Architects, National Committee does not ensure the fair process on the formation of IIA Telangana Chapter or if governing body of IIA AP chapter still proclaim to hold the office of IIA Telangana Chapter. We as the Architects of Telangana will be bound to revolt, protest and offer our dissatisfaction on non fair grounds on the formation of such IIA chapter by Non Origin and Non Native Telangana Architects and see that the operations will not continue further.
