Telugu Association of North America (TANA) has organized a backpack program for less fortunate kids in Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) Minnesota.
Mr. Sagar Malisetti, the regional director of Great Plains Area has coordinated this event along with Ms. Melanie Sanco (Director of Resources & Innovation, MPS), Nag Bommareddy (Telugu Association of MN) and Sandeep Kukatla (TANA Ad-hoc Committee youth services).
TANA Backpack Program was able to provide 200 backpacks stuffed with school supplies from the funds raised from donors. On this occasion Mr. Malisetti had expressed his gratitude towards the donors who came forward to support this noble cause. With their help he is hopeful to organize many more such programs that would be beneficial to the community.
Ms. Sanco acknowledged the initiative taken by the TELUGU community in Minneapolis and as a token of appreciation, they displayed the TANA logo on their website at http://rdi.mpls.k12.mn.us/ in their donors list.
