2009 TANTEX (Telugu association of North texas)President and 2010 IANT (Indian Association of North Texas) Secretary Dr Korspati Sridhar Reddy was felicitated by Sri Venkateswara University Alumni Association (SVUAA) for being recognized by NRI welfare society with Hind rattan Award during 61st Republic day celebrations in Delhi.
The event occured at SV University Campus, Tirupati, on 3 February. The venue overflowed with SVU Research Scholars, Lecturers, readers and professors from SVUniversity the happiness and cheer the event generated in the evening was unprecedented.
SVU Registar J. Pratap Reddy and Korspati Sridhar reddy were the chief guests. Glorious evening took off with Lord venkateswara sthothram followed by welcome speech by SVU Alumni coordinator and Centre for Southeast Asian & Pacific Studies Secretary Dr. P. Munirathnam Reddy. He Introduced Sridhar Reddy on the stage and briefed on his leadership skills and interests to serve the needy and his current services to SVUAA and congratulated him for achieving Prestigious Hind Rattan Award from NRI Well Fare Society India.
SVU Registar J.Pratap Reddy shared his past happy moments with Sridhar reddy and appreciated his efforts to bring SVU old Students together in USA and reminded Sridhar reddy 's hospitality during his personal visit to USA last year and highly praised his abilities for raising funds to support recent flood victims in AP.
SVU Assistance Professor and EX SVU Chairman Mr. Y.V.Rami Reddy shared his past college experiences with attendees and how the SVU Alumni Association, USA helped him during his MLC election Campaign and praised his close friend Sridhar Reddy for obtaining hind rattan award and also Co-ordinator Department of Mathematics S.V.U. College of Engineering K Bhanu shared his Friendship with Dr Korsapati and his efforts to promote telugu culture, unity and values across the USA and congratulated him Sindhu Hotels Managing Director Sri Ramesh Gadi Raju shared his association with Sridhar reddy In USA and explained Sridhar reddy services to NRI Telugu Community for past 10 years.
Many SVU Ex students shared their sweet memories as well and congratulated Sridhar Reddy for his achievement.
At the end Sri. Sridhar Reddy took everyone on a nostalgic journey which was very inspiring. He shared his past college sweet memories and his achievements as a TANTEX President and restated his commitment to promote Indian culture, values and traditions across the USA and expressed his happiness after receiving Hind Rattan Award from Ex CM of Maharastra Vilasa Rao deshmukh and also stated Hind Rattan award gave him more encouragement and at the same time more responsibilty.
He also promised to do fund raising for constructing NRI Guest House in the name of Andhra Pradesh's most respected and beloved late Chief Minister and SVU alumni student Sri YS Rajasekhar reddy for NRI's to stay in campus whenever they visit the world famous piligrim town Tirupati.
Several SV University professors, assist professors and lecturers attended the event.
Popular cine Hero Padma Shri Manchu Mohan babu personally congratulated his long time friend Sridhar reddy and also invited him to his Vidya Niketan college.
