Spotlight: Women Reservations- A Big Comedy Of 2010
This might come across as a statement from some of the chauvinistic men but come to look at it, there are few facts which cannot be ignored. Well, we are talking about the recent bill on Women reservation which has been passed and the common feel is that this is the biggest comedy of this year.

Well, so to speak, it is a man’s world but when you have a closer look, you can see how it is the women who are actually dominating. Starting from the chief of UPA who is a lady, the speaker of the parliament and even few of the opposition members, there are enough women who have a strong presence in the parliament.

Even the Congress party in our state has got a strong presence of women and that too in ministerial berths. The latest addition being the mayor of Hyderabad who is currently busy demanding a new Toyota Fortuner since going in an Innova is below her status rather than checking the needs of the city. The question arises that why only merit cannot be the criteria for women and why special reservations are being catered. Another classic evidence of this is one look at most of the IT companies, BPOs and Call Centers where girls are preferred not just for glamour reasons but also for other aspects.

Lately, even the private firms have begun to adopt this culture as they feel that having ladies around would give a strong visual appeal to the customers or visitors to that place. Already caste reservations have delivered a major blow to the talented individuals and we are going back against time and progress.

Now, with lady reservations we will get ruined. Even the law is on the side of the women and one can hear few cases about dowry harassment but there are many cases of harassment and torture that women inflict upon women. Now that the bill has been implemented they can’t scrap it. With the kind of change that is currently happening, the key person responsible for this is Sonia Gandhi. Many say that she is leading the country to dogs. Being an Italian, she was expected to be development oriented and progress mindedness but instead, she is taking the country to darkness.

The alarming increase in the number of divorces and failed relationships is just a glimpse of what happens when women start to think about power and money.
