Shoaib in trouble again, faces non-bailable case

Despite getting back his passport from the Hyderabad police after much struggle, Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik’s ordeal is yet to come to an end.

An unknown Muslim religious organisation filed a criminal case against Shoaib Malik in the Nampally criminal court for marrying tennis star Sania Mirza in violation of the Muslim tradition. The ‘nikah” did not take place as per the Islamic law and therefore was against the faith of the Muslims. As such, the marriage should be declared null and void, the Muslim organisation said.

The Nampally criminal court, which admitted the petition, directed the Banjara Hills police to book a non-bailable case against Shoaib and 13 others who were involved in the marriage with Sania Mirza. Now, it remains to be seen whether the polic,e would once again seize Shoaib’s passport or allow him to go out of the country.
