Disgraced ex-chairman of erstwhile Satyam Compuiters B Ramalinga Raju seems to have taken the cue from Satyam Babu, the prime accused in Ayesha murder case, in avoiding trial in the court.
Satyam Babu had approached the state high court asking the court to stay all proceedings in the lower courts due to his ill health. Like Ramalinga Raju, he is also under going treatment at the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), to get his Guillain Barre syndrome treated. Both of Satyamabu’s legs have been affected due to the disease and the high court avourably considered his application to stay the proceedings in the lower courts.
Ramalinga Raju might also approach the court on the same ground cited by Satyam Babu and avoid court trial till his disease is cured. On Monday, the NIMS submitted a report to the special court saying Raju would have to undergo treatment for another 24 weeks, before becoming fit for court trial. It means, Ramalinga Raju can happily stay put in the hospital for another six months.
