Samaikhyandhra Vanabhojanaalu held in Dallas

One of the biggest Samaikhyandhra movements overseas came to light, thanks to Samaikhyandhra Parirakshana Samithi an organization built to protect the interests of the unified Andhra Pradesh.

Over 1200 people participated in what they termed a movement that was justified for they believed the process of dividing the state is unjust, unwarranted and unwelcomed.

The people of Dallas who participated claimed in unison this to be a politically motivated decision with no proper prior exercise of discussing some critical aspects such as river water distribution, electricity generation, the contentious Hyderabad issue, law and order e.t.c., and extended their solidarity to all fighting in the state of AP for the unified cause.

The weather appeared to be at its best as people thronged at the famous Lake Lewisville. The medium was through Samaikhyandhra Vanabhojanaalu. Dishes from all the three regions were displayed.

Dum biryani, Pacchi Pulusu from Telangana, Ragi Sankati from Rayalaseema, Gongura pickle from Coastal Andhra were few of the many special attraction dishes.

The intent of the Vanabhojanaalu was to bring people from all three regions together and to show the strength in unity. Preparations went underway since over a month as the response was overwhelming. The event advanced with Samaikhyandhra songs and dances throughout. The special attraction was the 20 foot Telugu Talli figurine.

A.P NGO’s president P. Ashok Babu spoke over phone and said people of Telangana have always been kind and affectionate, in turn the politicians have been misguiding the Telugus with fabricated information. He said the A.P NGO’s will continue their stir until the bifurcation process is halted and reverted.

Addressing the crowd Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvathi thundered the central government has no right to play with the sentiments of the Telugu people.

Coordinators Dr. Sridhar Korsapati, Venu Pavuluri, Gopi Chilakuru, Ramana Reddy Kristapati, Sudheer Chintamaneni, Pratap Bheemireddy, Srinivas Bhavireddy, NMS Reddy, Lokesh Naidu, Bhaskar Gandikota, Krishna Reddy Koduru, Srikanth Polavarapu, AVM Srinivas, Satheesh Bandaru, Thirumala Reddy Kumbum, Narsimha Reddy Urimindi, Krishna Reddy Uppalapati among many others, worked tirelessly to ensure the event was a stupendous success. Community leaders Dr. Alla Srinivas Reddy, Dr. Navaneeta Krishna, Bhima Penta participated in support of the cause. The Lake constantly reverberated with Jai Samaikhyandhra slogans.
