Software Engineers at Hyderabad are facing trouble to match their personal interests and professional requirements. Many of the Telugu techies after their training at respective centers of various companies are trying hard to come to Hyderabad. When they hail from the same city, the preference is becoming thicker. When the companies are posting them basing on their request, the real pain is starting then.
Many of the techies are finding it hard to travel hours together to Hi Tec City from their homes those are located at various places in the city. It’s taking almost 2 hours to travel from Dilshuknagar, 2 and half hours from Ramanthapur, 2 hours from ECIL and 1 and half hours from Malkajgiri. The people those are living in Kukatpally are a bit safe as that’s the only populous place nearby to Hitec City. To own a flat in Madhapur and Kondapur is not an easy task for every newly appointed techie. And it is not easy to travel all the way from their homes also.
Hence they prefer makeshift flats nearby HiTec city. The fully furnished flats are being given for rent at Rs 15000 to Rs 30000 basing on amenities and posh look. About 4-5 techies are living in each accommodation by paying Rs 3000-6000 each on an average. That becomes a right choice for them.
But many of such techies are encountering problems from their parents. They are not willing to make their son or daughter live in some other place in city when they have own house. But at the same time they are not ready to see the painful journeys of their children from homes to offices. Especially, girls are facing bigger problem than boys.
“My parents are not willing to send me out to stay along with my lady colleagues near my office. I’m burning 4 hours of time every day in travel between my home and office. I’m not finding my personal time to read or write or to quench any other passion other than monotonous job. I’m in the process of convincing my parents. They are stubborn now”, says Janaki, a techie working in an MNC at Hi Tec City.
“I don’t find any problem although there was initial resistance from my parents. I come weekends to home and spend with them. Rest of the time I live in my accommodation close to my office. I’m saving 5 hrs of time every day with that”, says Kishore, a SW engineer working in another MNC.
That’s the plight of techies in Hyderabad now.
