There was a time when the speculation was high that the entire nation will be invaded by a mania called Reliance. Looking at the way the Ambani family was making forays across various ventures and projects, the estimation was that Reliance would become a household name in no time.
However, not all can reach that level. A classic example for that is ‘Reliance Footprints’ – the shoe store launched by the Ambanis. Today, they are giving 60% discounts, 50% off etc on the products and sources say that the business has been very dull right from the start.
There is also a possibility of removing them also and not much is happening for Reliance jewels also and they are there only for namesake and prestige. The analysts say that there was no proper focus in the approach of the Reliance group and they were just focusing on replacing the Tatas. Well, for that to happen they must come up with something much better than this.
