Reader's Mail: I Hate Modi But Forced To Love Him

Gujarat CM Narendra Modi may well be the most talked about potential Prime Ministerial candidate and he may have developed Gujarat in his own way.

But still, I am not really impressed with him. It is not out of inexplicable hatred but here are a few points why I dislike Modi.

1. He is very desperate about meeting up with the US officials and getting the visa. They boycotted him for 9 years but still he wants US relationship. Even they are entertaining him now because they feel he will become the PM otherwise even now Modi would be kept in cold storage.

2. He is encouraging corrupt politicians like Yedyurappa etc. If he is really against corruption then he must remove a good number of people from his party. This shows in politics Modi is not different from others.

3. By providing support and strength to the Ambanis, Modi is losing out on his popularity. Everyone knows how the Reliance tycoons are looting India especially the Godavari gas basin. If Modi becomes the Prime Minister there is no doubt that Ambanis will become more powerful and there will not be any GAS left for us.

4. Media management is something Modi has been doing very well. This is something he seems to have learnt from our Chandrababu Naidu. Though politicians are many, a true leader needs to come from the people and not with Media projection and manipulation.

Of course, though I dislike Modi as mentioned in the above points I don't see any other better option in centre other than him. Because, on the other side there is Rahul Gandhi and we can't even compare him with Modi. Already, we have seen his recent interview with Arnab Goswami and I don’t think we need to push our country into total darkness.
