Q4 Quarter of 2016 has been met with mixed feelings by OPT students.
With the Presidential elections companies are in a wait and watch mode. They want to see what direction the new president will take in terms of tax breaks, trade policy, budget etc. before they invest in new IT projects. This has led to scarcity of entry level full time IT jobs.
However, companies are still hiring third party contractors actively to complete their existing IT projects.
OPT graduates in computer science and other closely related fields with 2-3 Years real time work experience should explore IT consulting opportunities. They should try to get an end client project before March 1st 2017 so that the IT consulting company can file for their H1-B.
H1-B approvals with in-house projects have dipped down to less than 20% for many consulting companies and OPT students should do their best to get an end client project.
We request OPT students with minimum 2 years verifiable IT experience to send their resumes to [email protected] if they are interested in joining our consultancy.
