If you are thinking that this has to do with the natural instinct of a man longing for a woman then you are mistaken. We are talking about all those helpless ‘stags’ (male singles without females) who have to pay a heavy price if they are planning to enter a pub.
Apparently, males who are single without a female company are firstly not allowed inside the pubs in the city. Even if they are, it is possible only through a ‘cover charge’ which takes off their cover as the charges are exorbitant. As for those with ladies, the attention and reception is quite different.
While this is one side, recently, a very noted pub in the Begumpet area was fleecing whopping Rs 1200 per head for stags on a Ladies Night. While the ladies thought it was their evening, they were in for a shock when they were told by the waiter that beer is no longer free for them. Ideally, Ladies night is meant to offer free drinks to ladies but it may not be the same anymore.
