The CBI Investigation of YS Jagan, is nothing less than a political vendetta. The alleged wrongdoing was never brought up until he resigned from Congress party.
The smear campaign became rampant from opposition parties and certain influential individuals who do not believe in democratic political process, especially after he won a landslide victory as a Member of Parliament on the YSR Congress party ticket in May 2011.
Majority people of AP are of the opinion that YS Jagan is being targeted because of his and his departed father Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s popularity, as noted in the India Today/Nielsen’s, CNN-IBN, CNBC TV-18 latest surveys. He was never a part of any cabinet and never held a government position of power to be answerable to all misconstrued allegations.
We would welcome a whole scale investigation into the possible corruption of ALL politicians who held positions of power in the state and central governments over the past 20-25 years with guiding parameters laid out by the Supreme Court. We opine that targeting selective individuals could lead to public resentment and loss of faith in executive and judiciary powers of democracy.
We must show YS Jagan and the nation that the people are behind him and will not allow either the Congress government or the main opposition party TDP to intimidate him and his party into silence. We, YSR followers and Jagan sympathizers launched a campaign to collect 100000 signatures to stop political persecution of YS Jagan. The petition will be forwarded to The Chief Justice of Supreme Court of India, The President of India, and The Prime Minister of India .
