
Philadelphia Telugu Community organized a meeting on December 23rd evening to support Nara ChandraBabu Naidu's hunger strike and expressed their support to Nara Chandrababu Naidu for his agitation on behalf of farmers who suffered miserably in the recent floods.
Ravi Potluri and Sunil Koganti organized the event and which was held in at bawarchi banquet hall and attended by more than 100 people.
Telugu Community requested AP State Government to help the farmers to recover from their losses by paying the necessary compensation and also demanded Government should take the steps to buy the paddy which was discolored and soaked in rain water and new loans have to be given for next crops and the seize should be ordered on existing loans and should provide the subsidized seeds, fertilizers and pesticides for upcoming crop season.
Dr. Ramesh Eluri, Saradhi Kosaraju, Babu Dasari, Kiran Kothapalli, Sudhakar Pavuluri, Sambaiah Kotapati and several others spoke on this occasion and demanded all other political parties especially Congress to join with Mr. Chandrababu Naidu to protect farming cimmunity in Andhra Pradesh. They requested all MLAs and especially MPs to unite together regardless of their parties and fight for the cause.
Every gathered collectively demanded Nominated CM Kiran Kumar Reddy should apologize Sri Nara Chandrababu naidu, otherwise people of Andhra Pradesh will not spare him and also said AP State government is acting against the interests of the farmers and demanded that Government has to come up with a new plan for crop insurance for the tenant farmers since the majority of agriculture land is cultivated by tenant farmers and Government should support small and marginal farmers otherwise they are unable to bare losses and they can’t keep doing agriculture and Farmers should be treated as entrepreneurs & knowledgeable workers and should be respected as most Valuable citizens India and Farmers' demands should be taken into count while preparing the relief package.
Prominent Telugu Community members Sailaja Adluru, Suresh Reddy, Madhu Divyakola, Hari Bungatavula, Madhav Reddy, Satya Kakrla etc attended the event.
