NRIs celebrated Vasavi Jayanti celebrations

Vasavi Kanyakaparameswari Devi (also known as Vasavi Mata) is one of the most revered Goddess who sacrificed her life for the upliftment of the mankind and to avoid the bloodshed and war. Her message to the world is Dharma, Integrity and Non-Violence.

Marking these words NRIVA – NRI Vasavi Association Dallas chapter celebrated Vasavi Jayanti celebrations were held at DFW Hindu temple cultural hall. It was nothing short of a festive atmosphere with over 900+ Vasavites converging at the Vasavi Jayanti celebrations. A festive atmosphere reverberated across the temple premises.

The organizers ensured there was divine touch during the whole celebrations with welcome kit (Amma Vari Pratima, pooja plate, Pasupu Kumkuma, fruits, sweet).

The divine decorations of Vasavi Mata resembled the ones done in India. The temple premises kept vibrating with Bhajans and Keertanas.

The pooja started with her Holiness Vasavi Mata being taken out on a procession and the devotees were seen with full devotion fervor.

Among other highlights at the event was homemade delicious food, served by volunteers (especially kids in traditional wear) in banana leaves. There were cultural programs – Songs, traditional dances, audience interaction with quiz. Raffle prizes giveaways included Kanchi sarees, gift cards, Ipad and mega prize 10 oz. gold coin, best traditional dresser.

NRIVA national president Mr. Nagender Aytha who flew from Detroit attended the event and expressed extreme satisfaction over the arrangements.

Addressing the crowd he gave an outline about NRIVA programs, seva activities. Announcing the world NRIVA convention to be held in Detroit in July 2019, he welcomed all DFW chapter members and other across North America to participate in the convention.

He congratulated NRIVA Board of Director Srinivas Veeravelli, Dallas chapter Advisor Sudhakar Pennam, chapter leads Chandra Gunda, Kishore Konduru, Ravi Bajjuri and Dallas key core team members Lakshmi Kamboji, Hari Alisetty, Bala Kopparapu, Praneeth Sivapuram, Ram Bajjuri, Murali Vusirikala, Venkat Addepalli, Arjun Ranga, Sairam Muvvala, Sudhir Velaga for delivering a mega successful event and felt confident that NRIVA DFW will see more such great events under the leadership of this team.

He thanked the core members and volunteers who worked towards the success of the event and without whose hard work this event wouldn't have been mega success.

Among others were Subba Rao Ponnuru, Subramanyam Jonnalagadda, Ravi Maddi, Adi Gelli, Ramakrishna Kotha, Mahender Kuncham, Narasimha Popuri, Vasudev Bogguram, Manyam Kaja, Chandra Arthum, Srini Aravapalli, Venu Janumpally, Kasi Veluguri and Srinivas Garepelly.
