It requires no explanation on the importance and the fame the Shilparamam in Hyderabad has got. People from different parts of the state make it a point to visit it whenever they visit the capital city. Now, the time has come for another Shilparamam to emerge in a bigger, better manner. Well, news is that all this is happening not here but in Dallas, USA.
This project is reportedly being initiated by North America Telugu Society (NATS) and it is heard that some major plans are part of this project. For starters, there is going to be a museum in this which will depict the culture and heritage of the Telugu history. Also, there will be a beautiful library for the convenience of the readers and even CDs, DVDs will be provided for the members to make use of.
It is heard that a Kalyana Mandapam is also being built and it will have a 1000 seater auditorium along with a digital movie theatre. On the other hand, there will be a park and walking track for the health conscious folks. Cottages facility is also part of the project so that visitors can stay when they visit the city. A medical center is being arranged for any emergency situation and for medicine supply. A book store housing the latest books for sale will be present. Special focus is on the youngsters so a Dhyana, Yoga Kendra along with a Youth empowerment center will be set up.
An area of 10 acres has been catered for this project and it is heard that the first phase will commence functioning from 2013 onwards. The total Shilparamam is expected to be ready by 2016 and it will be corporate office for NATS. Sources say it is the single largest Telugu centre in the world outside Andhra Pradesh. So, many corporate from all over India are coming forward to support this.
The other highlight is that it will be having miniature models of Charminar, Nagarjuna Sagar, Orugallu Fort, Tirumala Temple, Vizag Kailasa Giri. The prime objective of this Shilparamam will be to offer full seva and support for all Telugus living abroad and whatever their concerns are, can be addressed here and maximum cooperation would be given to attend to it, as per sources. For now, the entire picture looks bright and big so it remains to be seen whether the entire thing will take shape as planned.
