NATS Atlanta Public Speaking Seminar for Kids

NATS Atlanta Public Speaking Seminar for Kids

Following up on the promise made to the community during highly successful and a first of its kind NATS Balala Sambaralu event which attracted close to 200 kids participating in multiple events like chess, music, drawing, elocution, essay writing, quiz. NATS Atlanta team kicked off the first of the Life Coaching Workshops, Public Speaking Clinic by Jerry Walker.

As the afternoon wrapped up the event at the Fire Station filled with energetic kids, it completed one of a truly unique event for our kids.

Everyone we talked with seemed to agree that it was a success and filled a niche for kids focusing on the intersection of career skills and life skills.

There were a lot of highlights: Sri Nagabhirava introduced the event with his high punch speech. Narender Reddy garu gave his words of wisdom and reiterated how important it is for our kids to have public speaking and similar such skills. He talked about how happy he was in seeing such an innovative program being conducted by NATS and also encouraged the team to come up with more programs like this. He suggested a forum on politics and political awareness for the kids.

Jerry Walker made the clinic a very interactive and presented with a lot of passion. Jerry introduced his alter ego Tony Giovalli to keep the attention span of kids. Jerry Walker lovingly called JD, helped participants to do their personality test and understand what their true nature is and what is their potential they can tap into.

The key takeaway from the event is how it encouraged our kids to go for their goals and dreams and that nothing is impossible.  To see a five year old say that I want to become a President and another a Model, several doctors, CEO's, Sportsmen, artists and authors.  It was heartwarming to see our kids show their passion and to know that given the right direction they can definitely reach their goals.

Later every kid stood fearlessly in front of the camera and gave their one minute presentation.

The event seemed to have stroked an enormous connection with the parents who are glad to see their kid participate with such fun and energy.

Lastly we cannot say thank you enough to all the sponsors, kids and their parents, volunteers, and lastly but not the least, Jerry Walker.

Thank you Zahdoo Inc for sponsoring this event and work through the knitty gritty details of the event with such dedication.

We think kids, parents and everyone had fun and, to answer one of the most-asked questions at the event: Yes, there will be more such workshops focusing on life skills for our kids.

The organizing team included Murali Sajja, Malathi Nagabhirava, Srinath Nagabhirava, Devanand Kondur, Rajesh Jampala and Srinivas Lavu and young volunteers lead by Sruti Sajja.

NATS Atlanta team would like to thank all the sponsors, volunteers, participants and the parents who decided to spend their precious Saturday time to attend and/or work at this event and  making this a grand success.
