NATA and the entire Telugu community deeply mourns the death of Aarthi Thodupunuri, a Telugu NRI who died on Thursday, Oct, 17, 2013 in Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia. She was admitted in the hospital due to the illness and was in ICU for more than 18 days and left her last breath on Thursday.
Aarthi Thodupunuri (29) who is a house wife and married to Satish Kumar Singirikonda native of Narsampet, Dist. Warangal.
The family was in great shock and do not know what to do and how the logistics works with the cremation process and reached out to NATA seeking help. Sreedhar Gudala NATA, RVP-PA send a request to Srinivas Ganagoni (NATA BOD) to help the family in need as soon as he received the information from the family members.
After hearing the news Srinivas Ganagoni contacted the family members and enquired the situation and gave a moral support and explained the process how it works and connected with all the key agencies to handle the situation to send the deceased body back home.
For the past few days, Srinivas Ganagoni is working with Sashidhar Garepalli who is a cousin of Satish and coordinated the whole process to send the deceased body back home. Presently the body has been moved from Philadelphia to NJ Hindu Funeral home and completed all the necessary paper work and ready to leave from Newark, NJ on Monday, Oct 21, 2013.
NATA Advisors Dr. Pailla Malla Reddy and Dr. Prem Reddy, and President, Dr. Sanjeeva Reddy expressed their deepest condolences to the family members for their loss. They re-iterated that NATA is here to serve the Telugu people in need and we continue to do that.
