Maha Kumbhabhishekam in Sri Guruvaayoorappan Temple, NJ

The much awaited ceremonies of Maha Kumbhabhishekam at Sri Guruvaayoorappan Temple, Morganville, New Jersey have started today morning as scheduled in a grand manner.

In a communication, the Temple authorities informed that in the presence of Padmasri V R Gouri Shankar, CEO of Sri Sarada Peetham, Sringeri who came to the function bringing the divine blessings and messages from His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Bharathy Theerdha Mahaswamiji, Sringeri and a host of priests ( around 50 members) drawn from USA and India, Dr Yegna Subramanyan, Chairman and the Board of Trustees, Officers, Committee Members started the ceremonies at 7.30am today, 28 June 12 with Vedic chanting.

As per Agama sastra, after the ceremonial Ganesh puja, various Homams like Smardha, Pancharatna and Saiva were conducted by the priests till noon and several devotees have attended the this ceremony.

From today ( 28 June)onwards every day morning time Homams shall be conducted and every evening cultural programs for a week up to 4 July 12. The Muhurtham for Maha Kumbhabhishekam is set at 10.38am ( Simha lagnam) followed by Vimana, Raja gopara Kumbhabhishekam on Sunday, 1 July 2012. On the same day evening there will be a big ceremonial procession of all deities of Sri Guruvaayoorappan temple on a n elephant and chariot duly accompanied by Nadaswaram during which times flower petals be showered from sky from a Copter and Live elephant. There will be cultural programs fitting to the grandeur of occasion.

Since lot of devotees are expected to attend the function, temple is making elaborate arrangements to make event a grand success and Temple is requesting every one to attend the event and make it a success.
