The Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams has decided to come up with a new initiative. In order to preserve the losing tradition, the board is likely to make ‘Panchelu’ compulsory for men while girls have to come in Pyjamas and sarees. Apparently, they have been coming in short skirts which has become quite a distraction.
It is heard that the board is planning to announce this month and not only that they want the same rule to be implemented across all Hindu shrines in India. If this happens then automatically the demand increases for Panchelu. Now, not all know how to wear it the traditional way so just like our stars wear it, the ‘readymade panchelu’ will come in more demand.
Keeping this in mind, the tailors, clothes merchants are said to be preparing themselves and are looking to place orders. It is also heard that a leading textile showroom based in Hyderabad has already made the necessary arrangements and it would become the pioneer for ‘Panchelu’.
