The sudden visit of Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik to Hyderabad led to speculations that he was convincing the family of his fiancée Sania Mirza to shift the venue of marriage to Dubai, since there was every possibility that his alleged first wife Ayesha Siddiqui and her family members might create trouble for him and his family when they arrived in Hyderabad for the marriage.
Though he was prepared to fight a legal battle, he would have to face embarrassing situation from the media. Moreover, there might also be trouble from Sangh Parivar, which is strongly opposing Sania’s marriage with a Pakistani, Shoaib feared. However, Sania’s father Imran had made it clear that he had already booked Taj Krishna at Banjara Hills as the venue for wedding on April 15 and dispatched invitation cards to all his friends and relatives.
Moreover, it would further damage the reputation of Sania and might lead to various speculative news in the media. “So, it is better to face the situation boldly, rather than running from away from it,” Sania family is learnt to have told him.
