Traditionally, in a country like India, Ladies and alcohol are like north and south. It is no less than committing a crime or doing blasphemy. But thanks to modernization and feminist movements, not much difference is found in the way ladies are behaving when compared to gents. And here is another one.
In the Hindi movie ‘Vicky Donor’ there is a scene which shows the Mother-In-Law and Daughter-In-Law having drinks together in a very friendly way. Many found it surprising and a little unusual. But there is an element of reality to it if you take Andhra Pradesh.
In Telangana region there are many families wherein this culture is there. During festivals and get-togethers the families come together and even ladies have drinks together. And surprisingly, families having such cultures, there is good unity among MIL and DIL.
