This had happened 10 days ago in Wipro. 10 General Managers out of 28 were ousted from the company under the name of performance-feedback. But the managers declared that they are going to resign instead of declaring the truth.
It's the decision of top management to see that there will be more number of working employees in the company than the personnel those make employees work. Hence the top level managers are eating bitter pie now. It's only the utmost track record and hard work with less pay-pack that saves any manager from the axe of lay-off.
It is true that only Satyam has been over focused and all this inside news hasn't been projected out. Almost every company is seeing such a plight. Inside sources said that the companies like Infosys and Syntel are also working on mass lay-offs.
