In today’s India, the most sought after profession for many is the field of software. Plush office environments, five day weeks, fat packages, regular overseas assignments which gives chance to see the world, good status and brand image in society are some of the factors which pull many towards this line.
However, there is also a flip side to it which is now being experienced by many. Reports are coming from many software engineers that they are going through body pains at a young age. This has also led to lack of sexual drive and is posing a threat to their marriage.
Basically, it is the lifestyle problem and the body hardware is getting spoiled. The common statement given by many is “There is tremendous stress factor in this line. Deadlines to meet project dates, pressures from clients and office politics, these are enough to kill the happiness and peace. Yes, there is good money but without health and happiness, what use is all that.”
