Goldstone Technologies Limited, a Hyderabad-based provider of software solutions, IPTV and media solutions, has acquired the world negative rights of all the 14 feature films produced by Vijaya Vauhini Pictures Private Limited of Chennai, for an undisclosed amount.
The films include Telugu classics Maya Bazaar, Missamma, Appu Chesi Pappukudu, Jagadeka Veeruni Katha, Gundamma Katha, Pellichesi Chudu and Rajeswari Vilas Coffee Club.
"The company plans to colourise all these films for the new generation audience," Jagan Mohan, business unit head (media division), Goldstone, said in a press release on Wednesday.
Earlier, Goldstone had acquired the negative rights of 15 Telugu feature films including Shabash Ramudu, Aggi Ramudu, Raju Peda, Shanti Nivasam, Chikkadu Dorakadu and Sri Krishnarjuna Yuddam.
Buoyed by the continuing growth of its media division, Goldstone had recently shifted its operations to new premises in Secunderabad and is ramping up its colourisation and restoration team to 350 people.
